Passive House

The design of sustainable building envelopes demands more than just implementing the current energy standards. Given the challenges of climate change and amended legal adjustments, glazing will be required to match concepts such as Passive House. To reach the Passive House Standard, sustainable aluminum glazing systems are necessary for energy-efficient construction. Primo Glazing aims at providing products and services of the highest quality to meet the ever-growing demand for smart and innovative solutions.

To reach the Passive House Standard, sustainable glazing systems are necessary for energy-efficient construction. BC Energy Step Code

The Province of British Columbia has committed to taking incremental steps to increase energy-efficiency requirements in the BC Building Code to make buildings net-zero energy ready by 2032. The BC Energy Step Code is a part of the BC Building Code that supports such efforts.

In many ways, the BC Energy Step Code follows Passive House's innovative standards to meet specific energy efficiency requirements for insulation, windows, furnaces, water heaters, lighting, and other equipment and systems. This strategy once again confirms Primo Glazing's efforts in supplying Passive House approved products to the Metro Vancouver area.
